Black White & Brown

Black White & Brown

  • $ 2995

In May of 1954, the U.S. Supreme Court issued its ruling in the case of Brown versus the Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas. This case focused national attention on the practice of maintaining racially segregated public schools, which was a common practice at that point in time. Chief Justice Earl Warren delivered the opinion of the U.S. Supreme Court in saying, "We conclude, unanimously, that in the field of public education, the doctrine of 'separate-but-equal' has no place." This program offers exclusive insights and interviews from many of the participants who have traditionally shunned the public spotlight resulting from the case that the New York Times has called "the most important legal decision of the 20th century, perhaps of all time."
