Conscientious Objectors: Sunflower Journeys explores the experience of conscientious objectors in Kansas. Rachel Goossen, Washburn University, discusses the reasons for the state’s high percentage of COs during major conflicts. Veteran’s Day: Sunflower Journeys heads to Emporia for the 50th anniversary of Veteran’s Day. Emporia was the first city in the nation to celebrate November 11th not simply as Armistice Day, but as a day to honor all US veterans.
